What types of appliances can I drop off for recycling?
We accept most household and office appliances, including microwaves, mini-fridges, fans, vacuums, coffee machines, water dispensers, and other small-to-medium electric appliances.
Do you accept large appliances like full-size refrigerators or washing machines?
Yes — large appliances such as full-size refrigerators, washers, dryers, and large AC units are accepted for drop-off only at our Hayward facility. These items typically include a handling fee.
How much does appliance recycling cost?
Many small appliances are free to drop off. Large items: $40 – Large Refrigerators & Freezers, $20 – Household Appliances, $10 – Microwaves. These fees help cover freon removal, metal recovery, and certified recycling.
Do I need an appointment to drop off my appliances?
No appointment is needed. You can drop off appliances during our normal business hours — simply check in at the front desk when you arrive.
Are there appliances you do NOT accept?
We cannot accept gas-powered appliances, appliances with active freon leaks, or items containing hazardous chemicals. We also do not accept household trash or non-appliance items like furniture.
Can moving companies or junk haulers bring appliances to you?
Yes — movers, junk haulers, and contractors regularly drop off appliances at our facility. We can provide itemized receipts for your records or client billing.
